Day 3

Prayer for Prosperity

"Do not worry about the things that cause worry... Only one thing is necessary: to lift up your spirit and love God."

— Saint Padre Pio

Reflection

On this third day, we direct our prayers to prosperity and blessings in material needs. The word “prosperity” does not refer only to wealth or financial gains, but to divine providence that provides what we need to live with dignity, peace, and enough to help those in need.

Jesus taught us to trust in Providence: just as God clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air, He will not let His children lack their daily bread. However, He also warned us not to become slaves to money or to worry excessively about material goods, because our true wealth is in God.

St. Padre Pio, despite having chosen religious life and voluntary poverty, knew the importance of trusting in God for all things. Let us ask the Lord to pour out His blessings on our professional, financial, and family lives.

Complete Prayer

“God the Provident Father, Creator of heaven and earth, in your hands is all gold and silver, and we lack nothing when we trust in you. On this day, I come to place before your Providence my material life: my needs, financial concerns, my work and the projects I strive for daily. I recognize, Lord, that without you we can do nothing — it is you who gives fertility to the earth and makes the work of our hands prosper.

Therefore, I humbly ask for your help: bless my undertakings, enlighten my financial decisions, open the doors to a good job or honest business so that, through my efforts, I can provide for my family and live in peace. Lord, keep poverty and extreme need away from me, free me from unsustainable debts and from all injustice or dishonesty in the financial field. Give me strength and health to work and prosper through fair means.

Also grant me wisdom to manage well the goods you entrust to me, using them responsibly and fraternally, without prejudice. waste, without accumulating through greed, and without placing money above the values of your Kingdom. May I never forget to practice charity when I am in abundance, sharing with those who have less, because I recognize that everything I have comes from You.

Beloved Father, today I surrender all my financial concerns: bills to pay, doubts about the future, fears of loss. Instead of anxiety, I want to trust in your Word, which assures me that it is better to seek your Kingdom. Following the example of Saint Padre Pio, who never stopped trusting even in moments of material trials, I also say: I trust in your providence, Lord! I know that you are taking care of me and my loved ones, even when things seem difficult.

I also ask, Lord, for the grace of true prosperity, which includes peace of mind and family unity. As my material life improves, may I also grow in gratitude and humility. Free me from greed and the inordinate love of money, so that prosperity does not become a snare of destruction, but rather an instrument of blessing.

Lord, may I never lack bread on the table, a roof over my head, and everything I need to fulfill my mission in this life. And if it is your will to grant me more than the basics, may I know how to use this extra to do good and sow love around me. I thank you in advance for taking care of me as a beloved child. Divine Provident Father, bless my steps toward a prosperous life in every sense—material, emotional, and spiritual. May I prosper above all in virtues and faith, for this is the greatest wealth that no one can take away. With Saint Padre Pio I proclaim: I am in your hands and I shall not want. Amen.”
